Water Damage Claims
When most people think of filing an insurance claim, they almost always think of some sort of horrible disaster or terrible event for which they need to file an insurance claim. But what most people don’t realize is that almost all insurance policies provide coverage for many additional types of losses or damages. Additionally, if you only file an insurance claim in the event of a major catastrophe, then it doesn’t make much sense to be paying a premium to cover all the other types of losses or damages. Adjustment Specialists, Inc. Insurance Adjusting Services provides professional Insurance Claim Representation in Miami and all of South Florida for the following Types of Losses & Damages: Water Damage, Roof Damage, Damage from Leaking Pipes, Hurricane Damage, Storm Damage, Flood Damage, Fire Damage, Mold Damage, Structural Damage, Tile Damage, Broken Window Damage, Sink Hole Damage, Losses due to Theft and to Burglary, and even Vandalism Damage.
Water damage is one of the most commonly filed insurance claim in Miami and South Florida because of the wet & humid climate that we live in. Not all water damage in Miami is caused by the tropical weather and can also include broken pipes, A/C leaks, dishwasher leaks, backed up water from a drain, shower pan leaks, etc. These types of insurance claims often cause issues and serious damage if they are not properly filed and presented to the Insurance Company.
Living in South Florida, we have become accustomed to torrential downpours during the tropical rainy seasons. These heavy rains offer a relief to the hot, scorching sun that shines most of the year as well. But this combination of sun and rain severely damage the roofs and makes them more susceptible to leaks. These roof leaks which come through the ceilings cause all sorts of water damage and are typically covered by most Florida and National Insurance Companies.
Mold damage claims can be quite complicated because of the mold exclusions or limitations to mold damages that are found in many insurance companies’ policies. When clients ask us for help settling a mold damage claim or adjusting an insurance claim dealing with mold damage, we make it our first priority to investigate whether the mold damage can be linked to water damage, for which a claim may be made under the insurance policy.
Floods can be just as destructive and damaging as Hurricanes. Many people make the mistake of not buying flood coverage. Flood coverage is relatively cheap and can provide great protection that is usually not provided by the typical homeowner’s policy. Flood damage claims need to be handled by a professional Public Adjuster because most Flood policy coverages are very unique and are not like most homeowner or business policy.
